When purchasing a Kelley glove, there are several factors to consider - including the age of the player, how much the player plays, position, skill level and price. Read the information below to get some info to help you with your purchase:
- What age are you buying for? Our higher end gloves are designed for kids ages 12 and over. With that said, we do have kids under that age that use our Black, Smooth, Elevation and ProLine Series. As a general rule, you will need to remember that our Elevation and ProLine Series gloves are our heaviest gloves. Generally, if you are buying for someone under 12 then you’ll want to look at our Galaxy Series and Century Series. For our fastpitch players under 12 you’ll want to look at our G-Lyte Series as well as the Galaxy and Century Series.
- Are you buying for a select player (playing over 60 games a year) or recreational player (under 30 games a year)? If you’re under 12yrs. old and playing either select or recreational baseball you’ll want to look at our Galaxy or Century Series. If you are at least 12yrs. old and playing select, high school, college or majors you’ll want to look at our higher end gloves (Pro-Line, Elevation, Smooth and Black Series). If you’re over 12 and playing recreational ball any of our lines will work for you. For our fastpitch players (select or recreational) under 12 you’ll want to look at our G-Lyte Series. Any player over 12 (select or recreational) will want to look at the G-Pro Series as well as the G-Lyte.
